mobil 1 is always a solid choice, german castrol seems to be the general favorite around these forums

why r people running german castrol 0w-30? is it comparable to 5w-30 mobil 1 and others or something?

I use Amsoil but most of the brand name synthetics are pretty good so it really cames down to personal preference. Some may be better than others but its doubtful you will have your car long enough to find out which one truely lubricated better. JMO.

That would be ******* expensive putting syn. in at that oil change intervals.

I know I dont have to change the oil like that, but **** it cuz I can.

Plus we are racing the car every other weekend at the track....

So why be cheap? Regular oil cost like what $10 for 5 quarts compared to the Mobil 1 synthetic jug you can get at Walmart for $23.00. Two oil changes considering you do it yourself you'd save what $26.00?? Doesn't make sense

I just switched to Valvoline full synthetic 5w 30 at 59,000 haven`t had a problem yet. I`d say go for it.

I used Mobil 1 for many years, but since Autozone has been offering syn. oil and a filter for as low as $19.99 I have been buying what every is on sale. My WS6 has 47k on it and when she is ready for an oil change I am going with syn. oil.
