I think it would be better to sell the car yourself, and just use the money for the new ride. The car look's nice, and with it being a convertible. Im sure there's gotta be a teenage girl somewhere in your area that would love to get that car just becuz it's a Convertible.

Im sure you can find a good deal though on a Z28 or SS. Just look around on the net, near your area. That's how i got my car, searched within 500 mile's of my area.

Why would you want to make that trade? It's still an A4. Are you that sick of having a 'vert?

There is a difference in a Firebird and a Trans Am. All Camaro's still look a like (minus a SS, but thats only the hood and rear spoiler)

O RLY? You're preaching to the choir. Look at what I drive.

My point is made: your reasoning for avoiding a Camaro is retarded.

This thread went from the op asking an opinion to Camaro Vs. T/A. Stop eating your own kind!!!!

To the op, If all the F-bodys similar to yours are selling in the same price range in your location like you say then hold your price for a bit and see what happens. It is about to be summer and people are going to want summer cars. If you do not get any offers then lower your price. As for the Camaro - T/A situation, I have had both and loved both. I really liked the smooth looks of my Z and the fixed head lights. On the other hand I was crazy about the curves and slp h.o. hood I put on the T/A, but I hated the flip up head lights. Speaking of flip up headlights look what I drive know, I can't get away fron the damn things haha.

I would rather have a WS6 over a SS any day. In my area, the ratio of WS6's to SS's is probably 1:5.

I paid 8k for my M6.

It took another 500$ to take care of some minor issues, but I knew about that.

And look in Georgia. Fbodies are a lot cheaper over that way.

Some Facts here

EVERY 4th Gen every made has a absolutely Hideous Interior. The Camaro is really plain and the Seats are nowhere as comfortable as a Trans Am with adj Bolsters. Also if you know me or read my Posts I'm not biased. I have owned 99 Z28, 99 B4C,01 SS, 00 Formula,00 Trans Am and my current WS.6

DO it!
Are you crazy dude? There were ALWAYS more Camaro's produced than Firebirds. Some years there were more WS.6's produced but the numbers weren't too far off. Here are some 02 Numbers

2002 OVERALL PRODUCTION
Firebird coupe 8,423
Firebird convertible 1,498
Formula coupe 901
Trans Am coupe 3,962
Trans Am convertible 998
Trans Am cpe. w/Ram Air* 12,212
Trans Am cony. w/Ram Air* 2,696
Total 30,690

total of 42,098 Camaros were built for the United States.
Z28 or B4C Special Service - 13,614
SS - 11,191
Convertibles - 8,083

Nice rims ive got the same but mine are orginal of a 96 grandsport/ anyway i would say your car is worth about 10.5 due to it being a 98 but being a vert i say 10.5 if it wasnt i would say around 9k 98s arent worth as much than say an 02. **** sucks but its the truth.

Oh and the camaro interior well the 02s at least are quite nice i excepecialy like the 35th anvs plaaque. and i particularly hate the ta door panels and its not because of the looks they crack realy bad for no reason.

You are not going to sell it for 11 k. I got my 98 trans am convertible 90 thousand miles runs great with nice aftermarket shocks and pretty much stock everything else for 8700 and it was in new jersey, where they are damn overpriced. And i always see camaro's ss in new jersey, I have only seen 2 other trans am where i live one in school and the other in the street and mine of course! So trans am are way more rare then camaros
