Default Automatic Tranny Shifting

I've got a 2000 Trans Am and at WOT from first to second it shifts at 4500 rpms almost everytime. I checked with HP tuner and all the shift points look okay. Any ideas?? Thanks

Are you saying that you have HPtuners?

I recently found out that my EX "tuner" didn't know WTF he was doing as far as transmission WOT shift settings go.

Two main things have to happen for WOT shifts to happen. You have to meet the commanded MPH and the commanded RPM.

You should post your tune either here (in the PCM forum), or on HPtuners site (in the transmission tuning forum). That way everyone who's able to help, can see your tune and get an idea what's going on.

Yeah, it should. It's barely got any power yet.
It's got 3.73 gears and a 3600 rpm stall, along with some other stuff that wouldn't affect this.
Pisses me off, because I know it'd be so much faster if it'd hold.

By the way, I haven't messed with anything in HP tuner yet.
So is it possible due to the 3.73's it's throw off and shifts early??
I did have the speedo recalibrated with hypertech.
