It's worth $4,900 according to that... assuming it's in good condition. I'd love to offer him that price, and I'd love it even more if he'd accept it... in fact, I called them the other day, asking about negotiations and what not, and he said the lowest he'd go is $7,500 since that's the price he bought it in for, which I believe is complete bs. How can I justify my reason for offering the trade-in value instead of the retail value since it's a dealer?

Then move on. F-body owners are delusional to think they'd get to dollar for beat cars with gas the way it us. He'll have it up for sale for 6 months and then realize he'll need to lower the price.

I brought my old 2000 Formula with 153,000 on the clock for $4000 from a Chevy dealership 4 months back. That car is WAY overpriced. Tell them you have $4000-$4500 cash. Better deals out there

they got it on a trade in for 3500 there trying to pray on your dreams to lure you to buy. offer 5000 and if they say no walk away you will find a better deal than that that is by far no deal.

I bought the car in my sig with 97k miles on it for $6300... I had to drive to St. Louis to get it but still, there are a lot better deals to be had. Especially on this site. There are some ridiculous cars in the for sale section if your willing to drive a little bit to get them.
