the CTS-V does not have an LS9....it has an LSA. 550hp, 550tq. It will also get an automatic option for the first time.
ZR1 has the LS9 with 620+hp. I would also call it more of a gray than a black. That is the same one they had at both the Detroit and Chicago auto show (i went a little show crazy this year). It has 15.5" Ceramic brakes in the front and 15" ceramic brakes in the rear. The brakes are the same that came off of the Ferrari FXX and Bugatti Veyron.
None of the V8 engines for the camaro have been announced....I highly doubt it will have any more power than a C6.
The G8 GT gets a 360ish HP V8 and the G8 GXP gets the LS3. I know that the GXP will have a manual option, I am not sure if the GT will - I hope it does.

The 2009 Corvette ZR1 brakes are the same ones as the Bugatti Veyron???
I am gonna have to question that, i do not see how or why an engineer would put brakes on a corvette that are on the Bugatti. Corvette ZR1 $90,000? Bugatti Veyron 1.2 million. That almost sounds like having a Ferrari with a Honda motor.
The CTS-V has something simlar to the LS9, but isnt the LSA a marine engine? http://tinyurl.com/ypg55j

now for the brakes.
The rear brakes on the ZR1 are the same that come on the front of a Ferrari 599 GTB
Edit: as a $20k option.
and here it is:

That was pretty simple to find, perhaps you should have looked before you called BS on me. Oh well.

Stop, I Say
There should be no dispute about the effectiveness of the ZR1's brakes. The rotors are as large as or larger than most wheels were just a decade ago.
In what must be a very sweet moment for a longtime Corvette engineer, Juechter notes that the monster 15-inch Brembo carbon-ceramic rotors fitted as standard to the ZR1's rear wheels are the brakes originally designed for the front of Ferrari's 650-hp Enzo supercar. In the front of the ZR1, you'll find even larger 15.5-inch carbon-ceramic units.
Juechter says, "The only vehicle I know of that has these brakes as standard equipment is the 1,000-hp Bugatti Veyron." Then he adds with a grin, "Although I think you can get them as a $20,000 option on the Ferrari 599." We get the sense Juechter will be using these laugh lines many, many times in the near future.
