how to peel out

It is a trial and error deal. I remember learning when I was sixteen. It sounds like you need a little more rpm after the clutch dump. You are flooring it once the clutch is out right? If you back of the clutch at 4k then floor it, the tires should light up. I start my burnouts/breakstands in second gear now. That method yields much more smoke!

just dont get too cocky and try doin it goin sideways or around a curve and wreck. even from a start if you get too crazy and you dont know what your doing you can loose it fast

+1: I have the opposite kind of traction problem. My TA (slightly modified ) will absolutly tear the asphalt a new *** the end of 3rd gear. Of course, you can't hear it cause of the exhaust but when it finally hooks it feels like a rocket.

Sometimes I think I'm killing the clutch doing a burnout, but with the way the car creeps forward and tends to want to lean to a particular side says otherwise. That and my tire marks.
Simply bring up the rpm and dump the clutch. If you CAN'T break loose the tires right now, I'd wonder if your clutch is dying...

even with pretty gripy tires on mine i can dump it at 2,500 rpm and it burns the **** out the tires! but what do u guys think is the safest way to burn the rubber off these extra set of tires i have before i put the new tires on? i want to put the least amount of stress on the clutch and 10 bolt

Your car obviously has something the rest of us doesn't. I can sidestep my clutch at 2000 RPM and mat it and the tires go up in smoke. If you are dumping yours at 3500 and it bogs go to the track and post up some timeslips. You're car is doing something most do not...hook. Should be a beast at the track.

I cant belive someone actually has a problem doing a burnout. Not trying to be a dick or anything but in stock form my car never had traction. Even at the track in stock form my best 60ft was a high 2.3XX. Like everyone else said bring the revs up and drop the clutch. If you want to do a brake tourqe then grab the brakes after you drop the clutch.

maybe your clutch is going... if its slipping it maybe causing a problem... if ur launching at 4000+ rpm and hooking, be happy. just remember that poor 10 bolt everytime you do it...
