Default Help!!

I didn't do a oil change when I bought the car. I drove it over a thousand miles so far. Well the change oil light came on so the next day I changed it. The light is still on. Should I change it again or does it go away after awhile? It's been on for almost a week.

Turn your key to the "ON" ( not start) and press the gas pedal three times , it will magically go away.

press and hold the trip button while the car is either running or in the "ON" position...the oil change light should flash a few times, then go away

It has to be on the "on" not start postion, and you reset it by holding the trip/odometer stub swich thing and it will blink a few times and go away.

Right on the money, I believe it's 15 seconds that you have to hold it too.

I read the owners manual, on both my TA and pickup. I also use it to reference my tow/haul weights and options. It also has a nice little section in the back that troubleshoots minor common problems. It also lets you know the type of fluid in the tranny/rear ect. I always figure its worth a flip through if you dont know your vehical well.

Well , I guess you can do it both ways , I didn't know that. On our '01 , I always did the gas pedal trick and it worked every time. I'll try the odometer trick next time around.

Why search when we have good ole Craig to join in and give such excellent information/advice on the subject?

Oh, and who says peace anymore? hahaha

Yea why look at a manual that might actually give you some kind of input on a vehicle you drive, or not try a search. Because you're way to damn lazy and want others to tell you or search for you.

This is for you:

..and since this thread is done, this is also for you

Peace,
Craig. (I always sign off that way, deal with it)
