Default What is typical oil pressure?

I did a search and didn't quite find what I needed. On a cold start my pressure is at 70ish and while cruising it won't drop below 50psi and that's if it's warm outside. It usually is always at 60-70psi and pretty much tops out the gauge at WOT. Is this normal? I don't know what kind of oil is in it, but it's fresh.

that is normal. Mine runs around 50-80 depending on the rpm and or cold start. What you want to keep an eye out for is low pressure because that is what will kill an engine.

Sounds a little on the high side. I'd say normal would be 35-40PSI at idle and 60-80PSI at full throttle. With only 25K miles though, its unlikely that anything is wrong with the motor (clogged passages, ect). Could just be that the oil pressure gauge reads on the high side in your car for some reason.

High oil pressure is good, too much or too little oil pressure means something is wrong.

My oil pressure reads 20 when the car is off and 80 all the time (I have a V6). Crappy autozone sensor. Have you ever replaced it?

It may be new, but I don't know. Motor was just rebuilt if that helps.
