Default Question on 347ci motors

Well i have been reading and see alot of ppl goin with aftermarket cranks but the stock one is well capable of my goals.

My question is if i decide to go 347 could i use the stock 98ls1 crankshaft i have if it is not damaged.

i have been looking at TSP for the 347 kit and they use a Factory Gm crankshaft so if i can reuse my stocker then that should Cut Cost considerably??

My plans are if this will work to net 400+rwhp
ported heads
forged pistons
eagle h beam and arp bolts
mahle rings
clevite (p) chambered

any ideas or input will be appreciated would like to get it on the road for under 2k with me doing all the work myself, and ordering some parts from my shop

Sounds pretty reasonable, are you planning on spraying?

I would throw 1000hp at the factory crank all day!
There are guys in the FI section that are doing 9s on the factory crank, (maybe 8s also?)

Is this a 98 block you're planning on going with? I've heard about some problems for that block due to the thinner cylinder walls. I just did a 347 forged build with the stock crank on my 99 block.
