Default Stolen 98 Ss

Hey, some low life POS stole my damn car from school today. In the Baton Rouge LA area please be on the lookout. If you see an SS hood with some deep scratches ion it for sale let me know please but I imagine she's gone for good with my luck. But anyway it's a 98 SS hardtop with the hood scratched from a tree limb that I didn't get fixed yet, oh well. Thanks

How does a car get stolen from school without someone seeing? Good luck getting your car back!

It's in New Orleans now.

BR has probably the highest per-capita theft rate for F-bodies anywhere. Go post this in the Southern Section as well. You guys can all share stories.

Thanks yall, I contacted the wonderfull campus police, they had a camera in the parking lot but I doesnt capture where my car was parked, my luck. I also told a state trooper, and a couple of my friends that are cops. It was a black SS, stock ZR1 wheels, brand new SLP LM1, other than that it was stock. I thought it also was wierd no one saw anything my guess someone either towed it, they have an outside towing service tow illegaly parked cars, so wouldn't be suspecious, or someone had keys cut by the vin. Anyway yeah its probably in pieces in New Orleans. I'll try and post some pics later. Thanks.

That sucks man. I'll be in New Orleans this weekend (metairie) and I'll be lokking for it. Also is there anything else about it that will make it stand out? Like a scratch or it has leather seat?

Best of luck to you. I hope they catch the idiot. Or that you catch him and get a few kicks and punches in.

Bingo! Mine was stolen in Baton Rouge back in '04. The remains (not much left to it) turned up in New Orleans four months later.

It's frustrating having your car stolen out in the open like that. I was in court one time against my ex-wife and she had somebody key the **** out of my 96 Z28 while it was in the court parking lot. I go look for proof, they tell me the cameras don't record and they didn't see anything!!! Don't record??? WTF!! Anyway, sorry bout your ride bro, keep us informed.

I feel your pain man, I had my cherry 71 RS Z28 stolen a few months ago, I will keep my eyes open down here. Unfortunately it's more than likely being stripped right now unless it was stolen for a joy ride, in which case it might show up with in the next 48-72 hours. Please, please, please tell me you have theft insurance, if so get ready to deal with your insurance company and never take their first offer, it is a negotiation.

Yeah I have full coverage on it, thankfully. I know it'll be a battle to get what the car is "really" worth not some low ball BS, I have state farm ins. so hopefully they do me right, however I wish I could get it back, took me a while to find that one hate to have to search again.
