well, from the research i've done. a 100 dry shot of nitrous is fairly safe when set up properly with all extras installed. Ether that, or i'll save up for direct port. Unfortunately i don't have very long to find one, and i think i may have found mine. Yea, and there's no way i could drive an automatic in these cars unless i was a serious drag strip guy

I would disagree.....a well maintained LS1 will have NO problem with high miles. You just need to make sure you find one that has been taken care of.

I got my 98 z28 w/ 96,000 miles for $7,000
The paint isn't perfect (Normal chips from driving), but it was taken very good care of.
Its got 98,500 on it now, and running stronger than ever since i removed the hypertech from it, lol.

Yes, there is such thing as a safe dry shot, there is such thing as a safe 300 shot too, just the people that skimp and go cheap are the ones that say its unsafe.

I've had 3 TA's, the first 2 were flat hood cars, the latest being a WS6, if anybody here has experience between the 2, I'm one of those people. Flat hoods are cheaper off the bat, but once you buy wheels/tires (minimum, $1100), then a hood (minimum $600, but I'm kind of **** so I'd like an OEM which is over $1000), $4-600 for paint, depending on where you go and if you get the bumper and fenders blended, your in it a minimum of $2200 more, and its still a base TA. If that money was used to buy a WS6 if thats what they are going for (obviously they are if they want the hood), it makes better sense to get a authentic one. IMO.

Yes, If you must have the ws6 hood, then by all means, buy a ws6. Awesome wheels by the way trust, one of my faves on an fbody. But anyway, the ws6 hood is a bit much for my taste. Not that it looks bad, it still looks great, but on the ta's I prefer a raptor hood or a flat hood. Now the z28 hood on the other hand is boring. Luckily mine came with this sweet suncoast hood which I actually like better than the SS hood. My buddy had an 00 black ta and the flat hood and 16's looked great. My stock chrome 16's I get complements on, and I like them alot. Of course it's all a matter of taste and budget. :rock on:

I got my cashier's check... I'll most likely pick it up this weekend. the car is real clean... and real well maintained. all mods were installed at a performance shop, and the tune was done at the same place. He even has service records. It just seems like a decent deal around these parts in florida. I'll post up pics in the introduction section when i get it.

Now i just have to figure what i want for my final power goals. nitrous, or H/C. I don't have the money for both.

Bingo. I'd say 10.5k is as high as I'd go on that car.
