what mods are on the car? i know some aftermarket parts that perform better weigh less than the stock parts, lowering weight, and increasing performance. that is one way to get closer to that 2900lb car.

Probably have already done this if you have taken out the back seat, but I would lose the spare tire and jack. Also take off any and all emissions equipment. ORY, !AIR and delete the EGR from your '00 LS1 intake.

I've got my CE Trans Am down to 3060 and I'm shooting for 2900 as well. I still have to get the air bags and rear bumper brace and crap off of it.

yeah so far all emissions are off along with the ac i still retain the heater and stock heater box. I have done both air bag deletes and added a grant wheel. Also both bumper braces are off .Still have stock carpet but i removed the padding. All heat shields off and i am runnind spohn solid motor mounts and open headers and ive deleted the power steering. Have not removed the door bars yet i was going to untill i saw how little our doors are made of. I know the stock 17inch wheels and tires are killing me know.

Where are you guys weighing your cars at?
Does anyone know how much weight is equal to a .10 in the quarter miles if I have 340whp? I'm debating on leaving my subs and stuff out.

I work at a milk processing plant we supply kroger stores with thier milk and we have a truck scale that is supper acurate and from my personal experience ive found that close to a hundred pounds is equivalent to one tenth.
