You all missed the big question.
Were you running your A/C? being in florida i would guess yes, and say that that is normal mileage.
Also, dont shift into 6th at 35 mph. The load on the engine is going to be 100% all the time, Its gong to fully advance spark, and your onlly running 900 rpms at best!! Low rpms is not where you save gas, its where you engine has its highest volumetric efficiency. THats based off what your heads flow and your cylinder size.

Well I find thiat hard to believe, maybe you have some 235,65 16 tires aired up to 40psi or you don't know how to calculate mpgs correctly but as I said 22 was the best I ever got stock. Using the highway to/from work.

I've gone on trips over 1000 miles recently and my 2002 M6 with 3.73's gets 23 average, with the a/c on.
47,000 miles, lid, k&n, ory, lt's, SLP power flo, tires aired up, good brakes, rpm around 2000. Gears and tire size corrected with tuning. Top off and log mileage at each fill up.

I got 29 mpg on the way to florida when my t/a was stock. I was going about 75-80 with cruise on and no a/c or heat 275/40/17s . It must have only been 40 degrees as well. Its not that crazy to get that kind of mileage on a car with a 6 sp and 3.42 gears.

Dang!!! I just brought LordofChaos's TA home last weekend all the way from Florida and ran 93 all the way home on a 6-speed and the things motor makes 500hp with a decent sized street cam and 3.90 rear gears and got 26mpg cruising over 80mph in 6th the whole way home with getting on it. Every time the trip hit 200 miles there was still a little over half a tank left!!!
Otherwise, 22 mpg at 75 mph doesn't sound too far off. Mine lately, mix of city and highway is getting 20 flat. When I used to commute farther so more highway, I would get up to 22 normally, and the time I tried really hard I got 24. For some additional perspective, this winter I picked up a 4cyl 2.5l m5subaru legacy wagon and I only get about 25 mpg out of it, so my 5.7 8cyl is almost as good as my 2.5 4cyl. cant complain.
