Just wait till the prices hit 5 dollars a gallon by next Fall. We have yet to see the beginning.

Yeah. We need a "Gas price discussions/rants etc." section over here at that time.

I'm guessing that most people who say the high gas prices don't matter are those who don't have mortgage payments and many other bills. Either that or they make plenty of money at their jobs.

My LS6 CTS-V sits at home during the week. I DD my Toyota 4x4 during the week since it gets better gas mileage.

I don't have mortgage payments but I have college payments and a car payment. College itself costs too much. I don't make a huge amount of money and what I do make the government taxes to death and I have to pay for college. But unless gas gets to be where it costs me $100 for a fillup I'll just deal with it but any more and ...........let's not go there

i've got $100 a month to spend freely and every penny goes to the t/a. i get 25mpg with a gu2 a4, once i do the m6 swap and add twin turbos i'll be seeing 30 mpg easy (that's practically a Honda Accord lol)

...

on a serarate note (this is mainly for moderators) can we have a section dediated exclusively to gas price and/or gas price's affect on driving habbits threads??

DD my TA... averaging 18-21 mpg mix of city/hwy, a4 w/ 3.73's. Gas isn't killing me, even with a 275/mo car note. I would be a lot better off without the note, still got a year to go.

I'm with you. I drove my Legacy today for the first time in two great weeks because of the weather. I only get a couple more mpg in my subaru anyway. But it's a 5speed awd so it flies around great in the wet stuff anyway, almost too good though. Today considered taking the z for the wet road fun

Luckily I get free fuel in the work truck... otherwise I'de go back to a bike as a DD (2008 CBR 1000RR?) But as it is my car only gets ~13mpg the way I drive so it would cost me at least $100 a week...

My commute to work is literally three miles. That's back and forth, including going home for lunch. I'll drive, it looks cooler. Haha.

This is true, like what I said for my first post on this thread.

I however pay for college, living, car, mods, gas, housing, books, etc on my own.

Tuition is over 7k a year (without summer classes) and I can handle the gas prices. It is nice having a decent paying job for being in college, for how easy the job is. I do work my *** off though, and work a lot of hours.
