Default Where is the porportioning valve located?

Where is the porportioning valve located on LS1 cars?

Friend of mine swaped his V6 drum brake rear for a disc rear out of a LS1 car and complains of a soft brake pedal even after plenty of bleeding and fresh fluid. Im telling him that the proportioning valve may have to be changed.

Any other suggestions? Master?

isnt it in the abs unit?

also a soft brake pedal woulndn't be caused by that. there is probably air in the lines somewhere.

x2 on air in the lines. I think it is located in the ABS unit also. It may be a component that can be replaced without changing the whole unit, but I am not sure. He may want to change the master cylinder to one for 4 wheel disc brakes. Im not sure if that will solve the problem or not, but i know most have different sized pistons in them for different braking setups.
