I just got back from the 2008 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour (1700 miles)
... I averaged 26.42 miles per gallon driving 70-75 MPH on the highway with the A/C on ... this engine makes 452 @ the wheels and has 161,000 + miles on it ... I was stopping for gas every 400 miles ... when it was stock it got like 28.5 miles per gallon ... ![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
PS At home during the week going back and forth to work I get 300-310 to a tank..(15 gallons)...but if I do some shall we say recreational driving I get around 250-260 to a tank.

what you said makes it sound like no matter how you drive you'll get the same gas mileage. It depends mostly on where you drive and how high rpms go before and after shifts.

i get about 235 and i drive city 100% really, unless you want to get technical and call 4 miles on an occassional freeway highway mileage. typically 16-18mpg in town and on the highway i get 24-26.
weird thing is i can WOT the entire tank or drive it like an old lady and the worst fluctuation the mileage will show is still in the 16-18 or 24-26 range, which means that how i drive my car affects the mileage very little. also mine is a 6-speed.

With my M6 I'm getting between 290-320 before the light comes on from a full fill up, but I have fun with it and do about 65% highway driving, I can get about 400 on a tank going to my parents in ohio, driving all interstate at between 65-75 mph. My only mods are lid/catback though

city driving i get almost 21mpg and freeway is low-mid 20's.
i drive 300 miles a week for work, 40 miles foundtrip on freeway with no traffic and 20roundtrip in city with some stop and go. i see about 330-360 a tank and my mods are LT's !cats! !air! !egr! and i still need a tune. all plays in with how you drive, slow starts slow stops and not punching it helps me out. are you an A4 or an M6? if your an A4 keep it in D when your drivin 55 and under

Stock A4, 2.73's. Last tank my light came on at 300 miles, and I filled it up at 302. It took 12.98 gallons, so I got 23.2mpg.
I have a 64 mile round trip to work, 40 of that is highway. I drive conservatively, I set the cruise around 65 or so, and I don't drive much city. That 23.2 was with lot of AC use too, it's been pretty hot here the past few days.

I'm steadily at 18 MPG with mods in the sig. Luckily I have a beater that gets 25-30 for my week car. On the weekends though, if its nice, I'll get out my T/A. Luckily I can stretch a tank of gas to 2 or 3 weeks

I get about 240 a tank. But thats like 95% city miles, I drive 28 miles round trip to and from work every day on traffic filled roads. I usually get 12 gallons of gas when I fill up at a 1/8th of a tank. 240 / 12 = 20 miles city. I just changed my plugs, and my gas milage per tank IMPROVED after I put my headers on. I used to be in the 225 range.
