question on "real " value of a firehawk
I have located another Hawk like mine in my area that could be a great daily driver
dead stock 01 Black on black A4 has the power lumbar seats, t-tops, chrome wheels, traction control.
Front bumper has 1 small tear that looks like a easy fix (2 inches) long. just passed inspection last week. 135,000 miles. pretty clean car seats are nice, door panles are cracking like most do. I pulled the lid even has a paper airfilter. older nerdy guy owns it has since new, he has the papers.
he is asking 14k
Whats it really worth ?? kbb looks like no hawk listed so I used anniversery pkg and ram air package to come up with 10 ish...

Thats too high, I paid 15K for a 2002 camaro SS with no cracking, pristine condition, and 50K miles. One previous owner, a woman in her late 40's, never raced.
There are better deals out there my friend
Test drive a few before you make up your mind, a few I drove felt like loose *****'s, no tread left on the tires if you know what I mean.
This camaro, well she felt like a virgin

That price is crazy. You could buy TWO LS1cars with that mileage for that price, with money left over for mods.
A 'hawk isn't a big deal, or at least not one with that many miles that's going to be a DD.

If you are thinking of buying that high mileage beast as a DD then consider all the $$$ you will be putting in the thing as the miles climb higher and higher. It is going to need repairs. I wouldn't touch it for $10,000, never mind $14,000. You will have $15,000 or higher into a 'tough sell' car in just a year or two. No way! You can do MUCH better.

I paid 15k for mine. It's a 99 Hardtop Formula Hawk A4 with 50k. It is immaculate, and I thought it was resonable for the price. I probably could have got it for less, but I didn't want to miss out on the car.
I am not a Firehawk nutswinger, nor do I care about rarity, I just wanted a low milage hardtop formula, and this is the one I found.
With that said, there is no way in hell I would pay 14k for ANY f-body that had 135,000 miles. I would offer no more than 10, and if he doesn't take it, then pass on it. There are far to many good WAY lower milage cars to take something like that.
Say you paid even 12-13k for it. You will never get anything close to that from anybody but a diehard Firehawk fan.
