Angry 10% Ethanol at my pump...Hmmmmm!

What is this going to do to our tunes I wonder? I have already heard complaints that Harleys around here won't run right.

We got the same thing here at almost every pump in town except for the higher octane. Ive used it a couple of times when i had no choice and never had any problems but my car doesn`t have crap for mods either.

Yea my dads Road king has a race chip, screamin eagle exhaust, and it stutters when he filled up with that 10% ethanol fuel at shell.

We have nothing but 10% ethanol around here, although you can drive for about 45 minutes to get non-reformulated stuff. It's not real bad, but there is a slightly noticeable difference in MPG and power. My car was tuned on the 10% so it's not a big deal. I make the trip for the good gas on track days, though....

Do they have to post a sticker saying there is 10 percent ethanol? Our pumps don't (Seattle area). Just making sure as I'd like to know if they do or not.

Yes, they're supposed to.

I've been running E10 since I started driving back when it was called "gasohol". When run through a carb, it will lean out the A/F mixture a little. If it's already on the lean side it can cause problems.(ie; cough, spit, pop)

Around here the highest octane you can get is 92 at BP, which is E10. I run it all the time and my car runs better on it than 91. It also keeps the fuel system clean.
