Good Deal?
So a dealership around where i live has a 2005 GTO with 9,263 miles on it, & i am intrested in it! They are asking for $22,5XX everything is in great condition. It does have the LS2 in it, but i think 2004 was the only year that came with the LS1.
In your opinion is it a good deal?

Tell 'em they're nuts. I haven't seem new ones for that low, but about a year ago they were asking about 28K for well equipped new ones, meaning they were probably seling for 26-27. And that was when gas was cheaper. Unless you're really loving that one, I'd tell them the truth:
-The car was about 10-20% more BRAND NEW
-It's a sports car. People buy 400HP cars for a reason; it was probably beat
-$4 gas is now reality. That car is gonna waste space at the dealership at that price, especially if it takes 91+ octane.
I'd offer 16, leave them your number and wait it out. They'll never sell for 16, but at 22.5 you probably won't have to worry about somebody buying it anytime soon. Eventually they'll drop below 20.

Do you know anything about the prior owner? Was it an easy 9k or a beaten 9k as someone posted? If MINT condition then $20,000 would be a nice deal for you and I'm sure the dealer would accept it. Remember that YOU are in control as the buyer in this current high priced gas situation. That car is a tough sell for any dealer no matter what the history. I hope it is in MINT condition and that you can enjoy it for many years! Good luck!
