Default Ported TB with intake?

Does this really help that much, I was planning on just picking up the ls6 intake and getting a tune done but should I get a ported TB also or does it only make like a 1-5hp difference?

yep! just go do it yourself, its really easy, theresplenty of write ups. Just make sure you do the "bump stop" mod on it as well

Everyone that says you will notice it, your not its mostly in your head... 5HP difference on a car already making 300 your arent going to tell. But it a worth while thing to do..

i was told it wont make a big hp difference on a dyno, but will show it self in throttle response and at the track. since you could do it yourself or send it off and get it done for like 70 to 100 i would say do it...

I didn't notice a difference. If you do it yourself I would say go for it anyway since it's free. I wouldn't pay for it though. Of course I did it the day after the LS6 intake swap, so maybe that's why I couldn't tell the difference in TB. I did feel the intake difference though.

yea, since you were still not used to the power difference of the ls6 intake, you prolly wouldnt notice the slight change with the TB, but every bit counts.

You're right. That's why I say do it yourself for free.

the throttle response is worth it with the bumb stop, knife edge, etc.
