you can replace the led's in the ring, you have to disassemble the headlight tho, there's a write up floating around here somewhere

LEDs die more often than they should IMO. Ever see those semis with LED tails on their trailers that have a few dark ones? Yeah...
But really, if your car is becoming too much of a pain... I'll take it

The V6 fbody sure beats the crap out of my old taurus

In the future when money isn't so tight due to college, I plan to either fix this one up with a powertrain swap (love the color and find it harder to come by), replace it with an LS1 fbody, or get a 5th gen. Haven't decided yet, but I have plenty of time since I have one year left before I graduate and then I'll have college loans to pay off. I can dream though

I was in the same situation as you. i have one year left, the only reason I have one is someone stole my v6 and it was later recovered/totaled but insurance gave me enough for a LS1. not the ideal situation, but w/e. and a V6 f-body is better than no F-body... those 3800's have a pretty good bit of torque, and upgrade options. they cant be counted out...

I am always disapointed when I hear of someone using their foglights. They are to be used for very slow speed driving (below 30 mph) when visiblity is so low that lane position is hard to determine. For any driving at speed they reduce the drivers ablity to see distant objects that are not lite as well.
Please keep them off.

Maybe the guy runs them when it's dusk..not necessarily in the dark.

I run my Marker Lights until it's gets dark enough to where I can't see..I suppose that's not safe either..

Are you serious? Give me a break they make little to no difference on F-body cars or my vette. I can barely even tell they are on if i don't look and see if the button is lit up. Let alone believing they actually LOWER your ability to see~Cole~

Thing break on cars. when i bought my old 04 gto i only had it a month before the a/c stopped working (it wouldnt blow out of any other vent but the defrost vent) and my passenger side power door lock went out. Ive been more lucky with my Z28. As for the previous mentioned 3800 v6 camaro. I had a 2000 when i was in the army and loved it to death still one of the favorite cars ive owned.

the hell, first off I usually run my halo rings only at night, as putting my fogs + low beams on is basically like having bright lights cause the fogs are really bright, please don't assume anything

Seriously...You need to stop smokin that wacky tobaccy. Fog lights do nothing to diminsh vision. They actually create a wider beam to illuminate the a little more of the sides of the road.

I think the guy was advising against using the fog lights as a sort of headlight replacement. He's right in saying it will diminish the ability to see distant objects, because when you light up the ground area directly in front of you, it makes the rest of the horizon darker, it's an optical allusion. It's not really noticable though, unless it's pitch black and you are in fact using the foglights as headlights.
