Where in the $%^&*#@! is Choco Taco??? He's falling down on the job, fer Chrissakes. LOL

I drive my car very low miles each year. Yeah, I'm spoiled. Got a Bosch filter on it now, enough German Castrol for a couple more changes. I'm thinking, you take care of it, and pay attention to levels, etc. (which it seems you are goin'to) you'll be good.

Do a search and you will be bewildered. Strong opinions everywhere.

Like I said, take care of it, you can't really go wrong.

Enjoy

iuse PF44 or PF46, the only difference is that the PF46 has piece of rubber which prevents drain back which i cant see being a problem on a LS1 seeing as how its screwed from bottom up and not on its side, but i dont know if aftermarket filters like wix have this flap or not

Fram... J/K. Trying to get a reaction. Might as well not use a filter if you use fram. Delco PF46. Cheap and great.

I don't know where you are getting the 44, but our Delco supplier can't even get it anymore. Must be old stock. I of course run a PF46 and Valvoline conventional 5w30 (just a plain old pickup).

I have used fram forever but I have done some reading over the last few days that indicates that fram filters SUCK. At my next oil change I'll have to look at other filters.

Royal Purple Oil with a K&N-HP-1007 filter. Is nice, and has a nut on the bottom for easy removal.

Do your research and then do the same thing I did. WIX!!! Not expensive, but well worth the money.
