LS1 TB differences

Default LS1 TB differences
I know the 98-99s have a smaller cam and the 00-02 have a larger one. Are they both interchangable? Any advantage to a particular year?

What are you talking about? Your title says TB and then you say cam differences. Also, 98's cam's are larger, not smaller. Not sure of the TB differences.

you dont understand. on the side of the tb there is a "cam" (the thing the cord wraps around). on the 98-99s they were smaller leading to a quicker wot. i wanted to know if there were any other differences..


not "cam" as in valvetrain.

i think there is a slack difference problem with the cable when interchanging

what year did they change from the smaller cammed tbs to the larger ones?

No advantages I know of. I ported a 2000 TB and switched the cam on the tb from my old one. I didn't want any downtime.
