i hope you dont plan on selling it anytime soon, since no one will be able to finance that car, they would have to have cash in hand...

if you have a turbo setup and a complete build, 3 grand more is an understatement IMO. id go more like 8-9

And alot of scammers too. I saw a truck like mine a 2004 f-150 crewcab 4x4 fully loaded with 103k miles for only 4600 dollars. No phone number so when i clicked on email address the computer froze??. when it comes to good deals on craigslist its a gamble.

i feel as though this site actually has better prices in accordance to stock vs. modded, mileage and overall condition. This is mainly because there are so many to compare and contrast to.

There are also a lot of people who don't have to sell, so they can ask a higher price.

I will put my WS6 up for sale soon (around 10-11K) And if I can get it, great, if I don't no big deal, it sits in the garage, covered, and the title sits in my safe deposit box, and I have a nice car to enjoy t-top off weather in.

The hell..

I always recommend this place for steals. I've seen one after another on here. Yeah, some could be cheaper, but there are dirt cheap, squeaky clean cars to be had at this place.

I scored mine with 70k for $6,250 on here

That's it right there....

I didn't expect to get such a reaction off this thread...I only made it because I'm looking for an SS or ws6 and everyone in my area is asking an arm and leg...when I lived in Michigan the prices were dirt cheap

1st time poster and I was blown away by the prices on this board vs EVERYWHERE else. This board tends to have better kept vehicles than looking local obviously but damn the prices are crazy. I don't mind paying what it's worth. I don't even bother looking on here for a vehicle here.

Just watch the threads and see the 13 bumps and how firm they are on price in their post only to lower it in 2 days, lmfao.

i took a risk and bought my car from a guy on here that had very few posts but a good buyer/seller rating. he only had the car for a few months and the previous owner had it for 7 years and had a carfax recored of EVERY oil change and maintanence item every it seems. sometimes you win sometimes you dont. but i would sqwak about paying a little more for a car that i KNOW was kept up and not bashed in.

When I first started looking for a M6 SS, I was on this site daily. I wanted to spend about $10000. I did see a few decently priced 99-00 TAs on this site. A few were WS6s too. Dont recall the mods but one was a red 98 M6 with 97k on it for $7500 obo. Also recall seeing a 00 WS6 a4 for $10000 with 100k on it. I wasnt looking for a TA though, I wanted an SS camaro. I come real close to buying a car on here a few times. I wanted it to have at least a few mods, & thats the main reason I was looking here. There are some modded ones on ebay, autotrader, craigslist, but not as many. So, I did find my SS on craigslist. It had more miles on it than I originally was set on, but it is a very clean, well taken care of car so I bought it. A black SS with the chrome ZR1s is a hard one to turn down. The only mods it had on it were crossdrilled rotors, borla muffler, fugly altezzas, & just found out someone installed 3.73s after removing the diff cover last week. I put about $2500 into her since I bought it in July, headers, exhaust tips, SFCs, LCAs, adjustable TA, SLP lid & SS grille, factory SS floor mats, new shifter & handle, line lock, Nittos, stuff I wanted on the car. I also bought an LS7 clutch kit, slave & master cyl that will get put on this week to fix the shifting problem it has when at the track. I paid $8500 for the car with 111,000 on it. After everything I did, I will have close to 12k into it so not much different than buying one already modded. Bottom line: you dont see a lot of these cars on the road & the nice ones you see the owners put a lot of time & money into them & dont want to give them away. You'll find most that are selling their F-bodys dont really want to, something come up where they need the money.

You will pay more an SS/WS6 than a Z28 or regular TA. It's not as bad as a small corner dealer selling a 110k mile 02 WS6 for 17k! Now that's freaking rediculous. When a private seller prices the car they should price it figuring someone is going to offer a couple grand less, even if you price it at it's value.

this guy just has no idea how to look around. It took me awhile but i found a car on here that had 8K miles on a new engine/trans rebuild. Came with a built LS6 making 430rwhp for 9K, seemed like a good deal to me at the time and it still does 3000 miles later.

Last year I purchased an 02 slp SS with cme. blk/blk 48k miles on it for $16K. I added pacesetter long tubes and ORY, painted the wheels to look like 35th LE wheels, gave the car a sloid detail and sold it for $20k 3 months later on craigslist. A car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it... bottom line.

I got the car in my sig. for 16k.. i think the price was VERY good. There was one for sale locally for 22g 40k miles, no mods. So i think i got a great deal.

Although some cars here seem to be generously priced considering what's done to them and the care given to them, I'd have to agree that a lot of them seem a tad overpriced, and some are even downright ripoffs. I actually got lucky and bought a car (in my sig obviously) that was originally listed HERE for $12.5k (firm) at a dealer for $10k. I guess the previous owner cracked down and just traded it in to make a deal on a GTO he has now currently. Even at that price, I feel like it wasn't exactly the deal of the century, but it is well worth the peace of mind knowing that it was babied and was in good hands (previous owner generously stopped by dealership and gave me a good rundown on the car and the mods done) instead of blindly putting down money on a car without knowing wtf it has went through. Plus the fact that it only had 49k miles (compared to the 80k-100kish cars I've been coming across before for similar prices) only helped.

Also, you cant always go by KBB. They go by a percentage of the cars that they see. If they get 100 cars and 40 of them are rode hard, put up wet trailer park V6'ers then that is how they estimate thier pricing. 99% of the cars that go for sale here are not in that category. There was a site I seen a while ago that offered a more accurate pricing table for F-Bodies because that is all they do, buy and sell F-Bodies.
