Was your SS worth buying back?
No, it wasn't worth buying back.

That's what I think also. I think it is mainly the LS6 intake manifold.

Guys, you're forgetting about your sea level elevation. Some of the fastest times will be here in the south which from like fifty to just a few hundred feet above sea level. If you're higher up, your times will be higher, too.

I've never been to the track, but I want to go at least once to see what I can run.

My 98 dyno'd 349/363 with LT's and a intake. This is with 100k miles. I dont think theres big enough difference to care about.

Hehe...I cased the "track" minutes before my run to make sure there weren't any piggies hiding.

The corvette needs a driver mod. Nice kill though.

I have 98 and look at my best trap I'm on stock cam with no tune yet. There are some differences but i don't think that its a big deal at all. Once the modding starts the playing field starts to level out quick.

Wow, a 1.7 60 on a stock 10 bolt? I have been warned if you run pretty much anything better than a 1.8 60 on the stock 10 bolt, it breaks.

I tried to break it on that launch and got my best time ever.....lol I have broken it before when I had 4.30's I definitely don't recommend launching hard often on the 10 bolt, that's for sure.

my 98 with bolt ons and a mail order went 12.7 @ 111 with 0 weight out of the car.

Back to the ecu issue, if you ever go FI 97-98 are limited to a 2 bar sd stune, meaning you can only go to 14.7 psi.
If you go 99-02 you can go 3 bar.

There are ways of changing to a newer ecu or using a standalone. neither are that easy, or cheap.

Good luck.

My 98 went 13.48 2.07 60 foot and trapped 104.5 with a lid and a system in the back. No way in hell a 98 is any slower. I've got 2.73's as well. Put a LS6 intake on and did 13.26 at 106 yesterday.
No one has said it yet but we 98er's get a working temp. gauge as well.
