Default car shuts off...lights flicker when on

i have a 1998 z28 camaro.
back in July i had the car shut off after making a pass at the local drag strip. i turned the car off, put it in park. and it started right back up agian. and it happened again a few weeks ago. i had since change the spark plugs and wires since coil pack #2 had an arcing problem. that took care of the arcing problem. also sometimes the interior lights and headlights flicker slightly. sometimes they flicker sometimes they dont. also the car seems to be misfiring and sometimes has trouble cruising along at low rpm. almost like it is misfiring but no codes are coming up and i gapped and re-gapped the plugs 3 times. they are at .040 now. i was thinking it was a loose ground somewhere but the ones i could find see fine. any ideas?

that would be a good start - have it tested first.

Im gonna vote for either Alt or the battery terminals being stripped. Itll seem like they fit good and you get them tight but they do get loose sometimes. Especially the soft stock bolts that GM used.

I had a very similar problem on my 2002 Z28 last year and replacing the battery and battery terminals solved it. Good luck.
