Car Dies while driving but turns back on right away? HELP please.

Car Dies while driving but turns back on right away? HELP please. Hey,
I'm not sure if this is a serious problem but when I first start my car the "Check Gauges" light flickers at times but doesn't stay on. Occasionally it will die when the RPMs drop so low while shifting into drive from Reverse...And just now the car "shut off" twice while taking a 10 minute drive. And the trip meter resets, so I think it has to be electrical? What do you guys think? The Voltage meter is charging normally.
