I ordered a Prothane torque arm bushing from ThunderRacing in October 3 and still have not received it because they have to order Prothane products a pallet at a time. They said it would take a couple weeks, but not 2 months. I'll call them soon because I want that bushing!

Also my shifter jumps up a little bit. Will just a wornout T56 cause this too?

My car does the same thing. However I have replaced a lot:

Prothane motor mounts
Prothane tranny mount
Prothane T/A bushing
Tex OZ700
New hydraulics
Rebuilt trans (T56 rebuilds)
S60 (checked)
Strange driveshaft for S60 (balanced and checked)
Stock T/A
UMI Poly/Rod LCA's and panhard bar
KYB GR2 shocks

I have no clue what is causing it since everything is new. Maybe a loose suspension component transmitting noise up the drivetrain???

I just installed the Prothane torque arm bushing. It stiffened it up, but it definitely still has too much slop in it. It really bugs me driving my car how sloppy it is..

sounds like you may have too much play in the rear?? How many miles are on the Car/rear end?

I have the same problem (1999 Z28 M6). I get this "jerk" as well. I know it isn't normal because we have an 01 SS M6 and it doesn't do it at all. I have an adj. PHB, Non adj. lower rear control arms, Spohn adj. torque arm, LCA relocation brackets, and sportline springs. I have tested all bolts on these and all of the bushings are still good. I went under the car, with it in neutral with parking brake, and the driveshaft has play in it rotationally (about 1 full cm). The u-joints dont have play at all. Does anybody have any other ideas?

Might be time to open up the rear end and have a look... I'm having the same issues... I'm leaning towards crush washer.

I guess I forgot to add that I hear this hideous clunk/rattle over bumps from the rear end. May be associated, may not.

My driveshaft has a little play too. I thought the same, but the guy who does my exhaust time says most cars have a little play in them.

Hmm. I do have a leaking rear pinion seal. Would replacing the gears and pinion seal fix that?

That's interesting, I have had to replace my pinion seal in the last few months as well, and I'm only at 60k

did you say your shifter jumped up?

Sounds like the tranny mount is torn.

I've got a Prothane transmission mount. The shifter moves a bit but doesn't bounce like before when my tranny mount was broken.
