Default Glove Box Light Stays On??

I hope Im posting this in the right section, if not Im sorry.

Well the other night I was driving home and noticed the light from the glove box was shining through a small opening in it.
I opened and closed in countless times and it would stay off for a few seconds and then come back on. Is there any way to adjust how it closes? It stays on even when the car is turned off and locked. This might be the reason that sometimes my car hesitates to start. Any help would be nice.

Thanks.

Don't know what to tell you on this one. I would just unscrew the light bulb personally.

Does the light turn off when you press the button? My car did this, and I just bent the latching mechanism to hold the door tighter.

The light will turn off but its like the door works itself down and the light just comes back on. Ill try bending it and if that doesnt work ill just unscrew it i guess.
Thanks guys.

My glove box door would droop a bit and not push in the switch far enough so the glove box light would stay on. I added a small round clear rubber drawer/cabinet-door bumper to the riser on the door that pushes in the switch. Now the switch gets pushed in far enough and the light stays off when the glove box door is closed.

Damn, I don't even have one of them..just though about that..lol

I would try shimming the part that pushes in that turns the light off..I'm thinking it's something similar to the one in the Center Console..

Well I bent the latch a little bit the other day and it seems to have worked. Ill keep an eye on it to see if it stays that way. If not Ill try something else. Thanks guys.
