Default A/C question / Wiring

Do you have to evacuate the AC system before you start unbolting it? Becuase Im pulling my motor in prep for a LSx and the A/C is my last step.

Also the connector right by the brake booster, it goes through the firewall and has a sheetmetalm screw holding it on, yeah how does the come disconnected lol

Sorry for misclarification.

Theres a huge connector coming off the fuse box (underhood) that wire loom goes thru the firewall. its just beside the brake booster. Had to I get that connector out of the firewall?
