Default Idle Question

Ok just recently when I am driving down the road and I come to a stop the idle is usually at like 5-700 rpm's, every once in a while it will drop to 3-400 rpm's and will be rough and sound like it is going to stall but doesn't, not sure if it would if I sat there long enough it happens at a red light stop sign etc. But when i start driving again all is fine. No problems cruising or even at WOT. Anyone ever have this type of problem?

00 SS with 26K and mine is acting the same way. Jersey let me know if that cleared it up. I have also heard it could be a vacume issue.

Classic dirty fuel filter, MAF and/or injectors.

If no SES light, clean all that stuff. $25.00. One can a MAF cleaner and one can of Sea Foam and 1 new filter. Do the Sea Foam in the gas first, then change the filter.

If that doesn't help, you can then start looking elsewhere.

Any codes? Tune up and fuel filter I would recommend. Vacuum leaks will make a higher idle, usually not a low idle.

Don't go and buy plugs and wires at 26k - can't see wasting money on that, they shouldn't be worn on that low a mileage car-try and diagnose it first to get to the real problem.
This site has info on how:

No codes have poped up. This started happening about a week ago. Car has a Tune, Borla exhaust, lid, MAF, throttle body. Didn't sound like a vacume leak top me either. I will try to diagnose first. I will post my findings.

Problem fixed! I cleaned the MAF, ran bottle of Sea Foam through engine for injectors and little through intake, and replaced the fuel filter. Seemed that I was not getting enough fuel at idle due to dirty injectors and dirty fuel filter. Thanks for the help guys!
