starting problem

starting problem so I have had this problem for about 3 weeks and it is killing me. Everytime I go to turn on the car, it will crank fine, but it wont start for about 5-6 seconds. I have to hold the key for a while and finally it will start (for now, it has always started...eventually). Once it does start though, the car runs fine with no problems at all.
The car is a 2000 trans am M6, and since the problem started, I changed all the plugs, wires, and the fuel filter to no avail; car runs better once on though
One thing that I have seemed to notice, the car does seem to start easier if I just turned it off in the last 30 min or so.
Any thoughts? The help is always appreciated as usual.

In addition to what you have checked, I would also unplug your injectors for inspection or even concider replacement. I know these cars dont seem old to us, but actually your car is close to 9 years old. Also, If you have a fuel pressure tester, test the fuel rail pressure. The Chiltens manual says...with the key in the ON position, there should be between 55-60 PSI.
My money is on clogged fuel injectors though. Im no expert but....good luck

Pour an entire can of Sea Foam into a full tank of gas and run it out. That might solve the problem if it is the injectors being dirty. Do that before anything expensive or labor intensive.
I have been running an entire can of Sea Foam to a full tank of gas, through my engine every 3-4 months. Been doing it for 10 1/2 years and everything is great. My 42 lb. injectors are going on 8 years old.
An entire can to a full tank is NOT too much, its perfect.
