Part # is 92211821.

I wouldn't buy it, but if you really don't want a generic one this is it.

Well, if you have an attitude like that, I strongly suggest that you avoid the offending stores. You are going to go in there with a chip on your shoulder and get ticked off at the slightest thing. I suggest that you find a place that does not offend you and get your parts there.
Dragonrage, you are correct. There are few manufacturers for almost all industries. I worked in the consumer electronics industry for years and interfaced directly with the factories and their personnel, including management.
It is called sourcing. When you source your product, you can have the manufacturer do whatever you spec. Packaging, colors, etc. are all spec'ed out. But the core of the product is the same, regardless of the brand name on the package. Our factories provided sourced product for multiple name brand companies, we just made it to their specs and sold it to them. They marketed it as their product, no harm done.

You don't know our professors, its easy to pass judgment isn't it? I passed Judgment on you too, but ill keep that to myself. Those who FAIL don't have PHD's. I guess you should of stayed in school, and if you did it doesn't show.

Dude, I WORK in a school with PhDs all day. Many of them are highly opinionated blowhards with something to prove.

How about the computer science professor (MA, PhD) who thinks the mouse is evil and the keyboard is the only input device anybody should use? FAIL

I'm sorry, I'm not saying the guy doesn't know how to turn a wrench without a cheat sheet, but look at the trend in this thread. The guy is blowing smoke and you're eating it right up.

Might want to ask some questions instead of playing the gullible student.

Your comparing a Computer science Professor to a Automotive professor?

After that your opinion is done, you can stop talking now.

I'd like to see your Car Professor with his Auto PhD do the **** that I myself have done with my Car..

The point is you don't need some piece of paper to work on a Car and to call the shots on what's good or what's not.

That and stop waving his dick around for him, if you want to stick up for him, that's good, but putting him in here and saying what he says is junk and living by that as the golden rule is your opinion, and not something that will be taken lightly in here by those of us who have been around for a little bit..

What does the number of posts have anything to do with it? I have less than 10 and I'm pretty comfortable working on my car. Not bashing you man but the time someone spends on this site or actually responding to posts has no bearing on their ability to work on their car. I'm sure there's some of these guys on here with thousands of posts who don't know ****. and no, lol, I'm not talkin about you merv.

Lol.. the reason my post count is up is cause over here in Iraq you got to stay busy somehow..

We are just saying that just cause it's from Autozone doesn't mean that it's crap, I've gotten alot of good parts from there, O'Rielly's as well, I actually don't go to Napa that much, and I know people that work there too, the prices are higher for essentially the same parts.

You ignored the 'and' part. Low post count doesn't mean anything by itself.

Anyway, I'm just messing with the poor guy at this point. I know it's wrong so I'll stop.

You're a bad boy Dave.
I think the lessons learned from this thread is that we should keep an open mind about our parts suppliers. I like NAPA; I go there when I need an almost impossible to find part or a rare part; they almost always come through. And they do carry good quality parts, but they are a bit pricey.
When I go to Autozone and they have more than one brand that fits my application, I don't buy the cheapest one, it is usually sub-par quality. For example, for my DD I recently replaced the front rotors and pads. I got their better quality units for both and they are just fine. I would not have gotten their cheaper ones, and the manager admitted that they were not of very good quality. You just need to be careful with your selections and you should be fine.

QFT

There are people on here with just a handful of posts (or none for that matter) that have built monster cars from the ground up.

Keep in mind that 90% of the time parts store people have no practical knowledge of the parts they sell. No offense to anyone here who works in a parts store.

Their parts are garbage if your not going to buy parts from a dealer go to NAPA their parts are a definitely a higher quality then that autozone garbage.
Dealerships love people like you, lulz.

For the op, I'd pick one up locally at a parts store, shouldn't run but 150 bucks or so + core.

I agree completely. The manager at my local store is extremely knowledgeable, and is the only one I will deal with there. For example, last week I went to replace the wiper blades on the Formula. I went in there and he was not around, so I had to settle on an underling. He proceeded to sell me the wrong blades although I cautioned him that it took a special blade. I made him try to install them, and of course, they did not fit. As he was refunding my money, the manager came out of the back and I told him what I needed. He said "Yeah, that model takes a special blade, brand xxxx, and we don't carry it any more." He then called an AdvanceAuto down the street and located the correct blades for me. Case solved, and the Formula has a brand new set of blades that fit correctly.
