My starter keeps cracking!!!! HELP

I have a 97 LT1 trans am. The car just sits for the winter but I try to start it once a week to keep things moving. This winter the engine turns over nice and right when its about to start its almost as the engine kicks back and it snapped the starter cone right off. I figured the starter was old so no big deal. So on with a new one and car starts fine so back outside it goes. I go to start it again this week and ill be damned the bastered did it again. The flywheel isnt bent it has 113,000 miles and its all stock. Anyone have this problem or know of it???
