Default Please help ASAP: oil drain bolt problem

Seem the dealership thoroughly rounded the drain bolt. I know I can get it off one more time, but don't want to put it back on. Parts dept. is closed on Sat., so I need alternatives. AutoZone etc..have these in stock. Maybe that quick drain thing from FRAM(i think)? Any alternative bolts I can use? Going on a road trip in the morning, gotta try do this by early morning.

Anyone know the TQ specs on the drain bolt for future reference? Thanks

18 - 20 ft lbs.

I assume you meant that the threads were stripped. There are self tapping drain plugs that are available.

Good luck.

I am pretty sure he meant that the bolt head was rounded off by the dealership, hence removing it ONE more time.

You should be able to find this bolt anywhere like previously mentioned.
