I have a 99 camaro ss. I got the steering rack in it replaced close to a year ago and put a turnone power steering pump in at the same time. In the last week it has started making a popping noise when I am turning. The noise is not coming from the steering wheel its from somewhere in the steering rack or a linkage or something. This happens when I start turning and feels almost like it slips a little and then theres a pop and it then turns smoothly. It happens when I turn back and forth too but only when I first start each direction. Please advise.
