Some problems with my TA
Some problems with my TA Hey guys, so im getting my car ready for Etown this weeknd, i check the oil im a qt low. the oil was only changed like 1800 miles ago. maybe 2000 at the most. so i pulled 2 of the plugs to see waht was going on. both plugs had a black ring around the base but the coil was pretty much whiteish, suppposly running lean i guess. What should i do now? why is it burning oil with only 28,000 miles on the car. i heard that running sytnthetic in the ls1 it will burn a little oil, and i heard changing the fuel filter will help the problem of the car running lean. waht are your thoughts? any tips of waht i should do?

Re: Some problems with my TA Hey I have a 2000 WS6 and I change my oil every 3 to 3500 miles and it's usually a quart low. I asked one of my friends about it and he said don't worry about it. It's good thing that uses a little oil. I have 45K miles on my car and she's running stronger than ever
Re: Some problems with my TA okay i have acutally talked to a few of my freinds and i have heard the same thing from everyone, everoyne of them has said that when they change the oil every 3,000 they are a quart low, so nothing to worry about, im just gunna keep an eye on it and makes sure the engine dosnt run a qt low for prolonged periods of time . thanks for the info

Re: Some problems with my TA Hey man i think if you do the pcv mod that will stop your oil consumption. I think that there is a write up on www.installuniversity.com.
Re: Some problems with my TA thanks alot, so i guess i ahve come to conclusion that this is normal in ls1 fbodies? i gues ill do the pcv mod and hope it corrects the problem. any other thoughts?
p.s. after how many miles should i change my spark plugs, and what plugs should i use?
