Tint remover....what to use
Tint remover....what to use Old stuff too, jsut about 11 years old.
The entire back glass piece literally peeled off in one big sheet, but there's another layer on there with bubbles all over the place.
Whats some good **** to use that'll eat that crap off.

I just did this yesterday. I just peeled off the tint film and then I used some 3M adhesive remover on the glue. I just wiped it on the glue then used a razor blade and it scraped right off. I also used some rubbing alcohol and that worked too just not as good. wd-40 also worked but not as good. But if your doing your back window don't use a razor cause you'll ruin the defroster lines.

I need something that will eat that stuff up and turn it to goo so I can just wipe it off, because of the defroster lines.

I did, it did nothing. Soaked it for hours.
I also tried Goo-Off today, nothing.
I'm gonna try a heat gun and ammonia tomorrow. If that doesn't work I'm buying a new backglass.
I refuse to razor blade that huge backglass inbetween all the defroster wires.

ya steamer the best chose or a blow dryer its ghetto but gets the job done it took the tint off my two front windows and i used a steamer for the rear window steamers are what tint shop use to remove tint

i just did my wifes car and i heated it up with a heat gun and then to get the glue off i used this stuff made by zep industrial cleaners its called big orange and its in a aresol can it works awsome. i just spray it on let it soak for about 10 min then scrape it off with a razor blade it works sweet the glue came right off. i dont know where to buy it, we use it at work. i know home depot sells zep products. this is the only thing that has worked for me so far.

My stepfather has one of those bad *** heat guns.
How hot did you set it for? His has a thermostat for a bunch of temps.
ya its the heat gun that looks like a hair dryer with the temp settings on it. u just set it on about 7 on the dial and just evenly moved it around the whole window till it was alittle too hot for the touch. then it just started to peel off, then spray the big orange on and the glue scraped right off.
