Default Wind Noise from Driver Door

I just bought a 99 Z28. Let me first say that these cars are awesome. I have owned a 80 Z28 for many years but the performance of the 4th gen cars is something totally different.

The car is a hard top and I'm hearing wind noise coming in the drivers side window mostly at speeds over 55mph. I don't see any obvious problem with the seal on the window.

How common is this type of problem on these cars?

How to solve problem? Window/Door Seals? Adjust Window? Or should I just get used to this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kevin

You could put some dielectric grease on the weather stripping.

Lean your head in to the center of the car. If you can't hear the noise at that point, then its a normal/typical sound.

If you look at the window, you'll see that its slanted inward towards the center of the car. This puts your ear much closer to the glass than in a normal car - so you hear the normal wind noise in a more pronounced way.

u want him to put his head in the middle of the car at 55 mph.. hahaha...

anyway, my car has this too and Im interested in a way to fix this also. Idk if this has happened to the op, but when I take it through the carwash, water comes through...

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try out some of these ideas and see if I can solve the problem.

remove the door panel and u will see the side window bumpstops along the top of the door. loosen the 10mm bolts to each bumpstop, adjust, then re-tighten
