Default Driver window motor replacement?

It looks like I have a motor going bad on the driver side window. It will go up and stop. I wait a little and it will go up a little more. Some times it will not move at all. Sounds like a motor to me. What do you think?

Anyone have a write up on replacing the motor?
Thanks.
Bill

That's what I used, hardest part was locating the rivets to drill them. If it's been replaced before may not have to drill - helped a buddy do his and when I took the door panel off the motor had been done and just unbolted it.

Thanks guys. Now to go buy a motor. GMPartsDirect wants $113.83. AutoZone is next.

The write up is good, just look at the pictures to see where to drill. I think a lot of the parts stores carry lifetime warranties on those motors so that is something to consider when buying. I don't think that GM part has a lifetime warranty.

There is a separate kit to buy for slow passenger side windows. Basically, the wiring going to the pass window doesn't carry enough juice so you put in fresh wires that carry current better and it speeds up.

Get the Lifetime Warranty one from local parts store. I got it saves you some bucks if you kept the car for awhile. Replaced mine when bought it 3 years later needed another one. Now gotta do the passenger side now.

Get a lifetime warranty motor locally - I bought a couple motors from an ebay store, one for myself and gave one to a friend - they were both noisey.

I am going to replace my driver motor tomorrow. I bought a LTW from AutoZone with all the hardware for around $55.

you could have got a cordone AC1 window motor for 28.99 at advance auto parts or discount auto parts also with lifetime warranty. i just replaced both motors in my car and it helped on the price a lot. And if you dont have one of the parts stores that i listed above o reillys auto parts carry the same brand and they price match which is what i had to do. but if you got that extra cash to throw around i wish i had that luxury! but as long as its fixed tho lol.
