Don't quote me on this, but as long as you disconnect the battery, and do nothing but replace the CKP sensor, you shouldn't need to do that procedure.

The only thing that might happen is your car will run rough for awhile until it finds its idle again. It happens every time I take my car out of storage. It takes about 10-20 minutes to relearn its idle.

Worst case scenario, your car won't start - at least nothing's broken.

In IMO, with your headers, I would get a tune ASAP. You're losing out on some power, and your car could run a lot better.

I think if you just built the engine or re-assembled it, I would say yes, do the procedure. Otherwise, if you didn't mess with anything mechanical, don't worry about it.

ah ok, I may try that then. If it acts up again I may take it to the dealer and have them do the procedure

well man I think I found the problem..




Are these the crank sensor wires? Also can I buy a replacement set or splice these?

Anybody?

Not sure where those wires go. You can splice them, but it won't be easy. Did the headers burn through them? Is that what I'm seeing?

Yeah, the headers burn through them and I fixed them today





Runs fine now...
