Angry weird "RATTLE" in back of car

ever since i have had my TA it was had a BAD rattle at the idle RPM range. when im stopped at a red light or something like, the back passenger quater panel or B pillar will rattle loud. i let my gf drive it down the road and i could even hear it from outside the car. Its not my tag or my anntena bc i have taken both of them off and it still does the same thing. thank you ahead...

Your fingers will find the problem.

While it's idling, just keep on touching everything in the area until the noise stops or changes pitch.

First I would check the spare tire or jack.

Good luck. Buzzing/rattling noises make me nuts.

Exhaust gets hot fast. Use a rubber hammer immediately after startup, or use a wooden 2" X 2" so you don't get branded.

Check muffler heat shield as well.

Yeah, I agree. It's most likely a loose or broken exhaust mount.

mine was doing something really bad like this at certain rpm ranges and my buddy started feeling around the back passenger area and finally found the problem, turns out there was about 5 dollars worth of change under the carpet LOL

exhaust hangars. first time one of mine broke and had a local shop fix it for $20 because I was lazy.

Then it started rattling again, so I jacked up my car and realized the idiot put the brand new hangar on backwards so it broke again.

Fixed it and haven't had that god-awful loud rattle since. Now I just need to fix the passenger seat rattle (which appears to be in the adjustment gears somewhere. maybe it's time for aftermarket seats).

If it sounds like its coming from inside the car rather than the outside, check your rear seat seatbelts and the latch that lets the rear seat down. Mine rattles there if the seat belts are turned wrong.

I had a horrible squeak in my car and i found out that my hatch prop rod was broken on the mount on my hatch. Not sure yet how i am going to fix it yet so i just took it off to stop the squeak. btw man that hatch is heavy now lol. to top it all off i just aquired a new squeak and i'm not sure where this one is. i have a borla exhaust and check it and it was fine.....damn this ***** annoying. i will let you know what i find out.

Kind of weird but I thought I had rattles which turned out to be a low rpm pinging. A tune did the trick. I swore it was my exhaust though but nothing was touching and it sounded like a loose washer hitting a bolt.
