95' Conv. question

95' Conv. question I recently purchased a 95' Trans Am conv. project car. The top hasn't seemed to work right since I've gotten it. Today I was looking around in the trunk and noticed a valve on the top of the "pump/motor" and turned it, got in the car and held the conv. top button down in the retract position. It worked but didn't come back up. Here are my questions, is there a servicing port for fluid, a check point and what kind of fluid? Which way does the valve need to be in for normal use? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

You'll have better luck over in the convertible section instead of here in the General Maintenance section. A lot of good info there. I've never had to deal with that problem on my convertible so I'm not much help for you, but post up your question over there and read some of the stickies at the top of the section. Hopefully you'll get some answers.
