Alternator problem
Have you checked for corrosion everywhere?
You wouldn't happen to have power steering fluid dripping onto the alternator would you?

Could be alot of other things too, but damn....check your batteries and alternators.
Also, make sure your excitor wires are in good condition.
Do it the way I did it. Those plastic 2 ended couplers that you stick the wire in each end, then crimp them with a plyer. Then I suggest using that shrinking **** that you use with a lighter, just to keep moisture out.

They have all this stuff at any auto parts store.
These are actually heat shrinkable ones. You crimp the wire ends where the metal tubes inside are (you can see the metal tubes), then you heat shrink each end around the wire to make it waterproof.

Heat shrink: They sell them in 2 inch lengths that you slide over the wire, crimp them together with the BUTT CONNECTOR....then slide the shrink tube over the entire connector and use a lighter to shrink it and seal around the connector.
