replace front turn signal sockets - how to pull them clear?
I can just barely pull the socket from the housing and replace the bulb through the lower vent opening in the front bumper. However there is not enough slack to pull the socket out so as to cut it off and splice on a new socket.
There doesnt seem to be any easy way to reach the socket from under the hood nor from under the front bumper as that everything is enclosed.
Any ideas?

You can't do it from the front bumper... You have to get under the car and remove two bolts that allow access into the plastic access panel in the corner of the front bumper's underneath.
Then, just turn the socket, pull it out, replace bulb, and reverse the steps.

even going in through the bottom / cut-away hatch the passenger side is tied way up for some reason. However I did have enough room to get s splicer in there, cut / replace the socket.
Now the turn signals flash with the hazards but dont flash on/off when the turn signal is used.
Also the driver's side turn signal is very dim in default daylight running lights mode.
