Left turn signal/brake not working?

Left turn signal/brake not working? I've been taking interior parts out of my '93 Z28, and After a drive the other day i noticed something weird.
As I got back to the garage and my friend parked the car the left brake light wasn't working, so I had him turn the left turn signal on, and that didn't work either. The weird thing is it didn't come up on the dash either. Then I had him turn the lights on, and it isn't the light burnt out because that still worked and lit up. So just the brake/turn signal isn't doing anything. And the turn signal isn't lighting on the dash either...
Any ideas?
