Default Quick question

I normally used a PF58 vs the PF44 on my car... well, this last time that I went to pick up the RP & filter, there were no more PF58's... but there were PF59's. Are the 59's the same as the 58's, and can we use them on our cars?
I see the truck guys are using them, but I just wanted to be 100% sure that the 6L and 5.4L have the same oil filter setup as us 5.7L.
Thanks.

From what I understand, the PF58 is no longer being produced. The only difference between the PF58 and PF59 is that the PF59 has an anti drain back valve. I've been using the PF59 on my '02 Z28. Scoggins Dickey sells them for $2.39 each.

I like the fact that they hold 1/4 quart more oil in them, and there is like 30% more filtering element to clean the oil. I run the longer filter and 6 qts even... it makes it easier to change the oil, and I don't have a ton of left over oil quarts around.
