Default 2000 Z28 groaning sound in reverse!!!

Ok so today i basically got off work cruised my car for about 15 mins i got on it for like 2 seconds when i was down the street from my house from 30 mph to 50mph then i slowed down. When i got to my house i had my brother move his truck so i could park in the drive way since my window went of track today and i didnt have time 2 fix it. so i put the car in reverse and all of a sudden it started making a groaning or griding kind of sound when i gave it gas. the sound goes away when the car rolls faster then it just makes that normal whining sound they make when ur in reverse so basically it just does it right when you press the gas. Please help me if anyone has ever had this problem. i sold my truck today so this is my only vehicle. Please dont tell me that my tranny is broken i just bought this car 2 weeks ago. its a B4C Z28 with 134k miles and the transmission shifts perfectly goin forward. does it have a bad rear end like differential etc.? Its a 4L60E BTW.

first thing you need to do is check the trans/differential fluid

I did an oil change and checked all fluids and everything was ok. it hasnt made the noise at all anymore but i havent gotten on it either and i dont think i ever will again lol...it was scary though i thought my reverse was gonna leave me...BTW i am a newbie since this is my first LS1...are this engines pretty strong the guy that had it before me used to drive the hell out of it and now that i have it im im worried the engine might give out or the tranny. should i rebuild before i do any racing or would it be ok if i maintain the engine good?
