EGR valve?

EGR valve? Okay, so my car has been a check engine monster throwing erratic codes. I clear them out with the Predator only to have them pop up again.
Unfortunately, there is no consistency in the codes. I'll get an insufficient switching, then a catalyst system below efficiency, air pump, then a L Gen Wire. Just no consistency whatsoever.
Somebody suggested that I might replace my EGR valve, that those tend to go out and it's an emmissions issue. What do you guys think?
