installing a front parking light bulb
installing a front parking light bulb I have the bulb but don't know how to install it...
car is a '01 formula and my driver side signal light/parking lamp is out..thanks
car is a '01 formula and my driver side signal light/parking lamp is out..thanks I haven't changed that bulb yet, but I have changed the fog light. What I do is flip up the head lights, and just reach my arm down there while the lights are up. Very easy to get at the bulb that way. I imagine it'd be the same thing for the parking light, since it's right next to the fog.
if you go underneath your car, infront of the front wheel well is a access door in the mud flap (2 10mm bolts). unbolt the 2 bolts, and the parking light is right there. you can get it on your back without the car being jacked up, but i usually just lift the front corner and its 10x easier

I just changed both of mine on my '98 TA. I went through the headlights. I just turned them on, removed the 3 screws that hold the plastic shroud around the headlights on, pulled that off and you can reach right in and change the parking/turn signal bulbs. Very easy.
I think the flap underneath is the easiest way-However, dont be surprised if changing the bulb doesn't fix the problem. Pull the socket out of the housing and take out the old bulb and see if any water comes out or has corrosion built up in it. If yes then you'll need to splice in a new socket. Common problem on Firebirds, especially on the D/S-Pm me if you have any more questions

Well, I just went out to the garage flipped the headlights up and went in through the top. With a flashlight I saw the back of the lamp turned it and it came out and then I pulled the bulb out, replaced it and shoved the whole thing back in with a twist.
